Adamax is sold online as a nootropic 'research chemical' peptide. PeptideX could not establish what it actually is from any independent source. A PubMed search returns no record describing a peptide of this name - the hits belong to an unrelated machine-learning optimisation algorithm called Adamax 1 - and ClinicalTrials.gov holds no study 2. The only descriptions of its structure come from vendor and content-farm pages, which are not a usable source of fact and which do not even agree with one another: several present it as a Semax derivative (an N-acetylated, adamantane-conjugated analogue of the ACTH(4-10) fragment Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, the same core as Semax), while at least one conflates Adamax with the unrelated peptide P21. Because the identity itself is unverified, the entry is kept deliberately minimal rather than repeating a structure and mechanism that no independent source supports.
Doping status: Cannot be classified with confidence, because the substance is not reliably identified. If it is a non-approved synthetic peptide as vendors claim, a non-approved substance would fall under the S0 residual category and be prohibited at all times - an inference, not a listing

What can be said is limited to naming the claim and its problem. Sellers most often present Adamax as a modified Semax - Semax being the heptapeptide Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, itself derived from the ACTH(4-10) melanocortin fragment and covered separately on this site - with an added acetyl group and an adamantane moiety said to improve stability and brain penetration. Even if that description were accurate, no published study has tested such a molecule for any effect, so its pharmacology would still be unknown. Since the description cannot be verified in the first place, treating it as a fact would be exactly the kind of vendor-sourced invention this reference exists to avoid.
