Sermorelin

The native GHRH(1-29) fragment — the shortest active piece of the real hormone. It clears in minutes, producing a brief pulse of GH release that is close to the body’s own pattern. It was once an FDA-approved product (Geref), withdrawn in 2008 for commercial rather than safety reasons.

CJC-1295 with DAC

A modified GHRH analogue carrying a drug-affinity complex (DAC) that binds it to albumin, stretching its action to roughly 6–8 days. That turns the brief GHRH pulse into a sustained, days-long elevation — a bigger total signal, but further from the body’s natural rhythm. The short-acting version without DAC is essentially Mod GRF 1-29.

Both are GHRH analogues — they tell the pituitary to release growth hormone — but they last very differently. Sermorelin is the natural GHRH(1-29) fragment and is gone in minutes, giving a brief pulse. CJC-1295 with DAC is engineered to bind albumin and keep working for roughly a week.
Is CJC-1295 stronger than sermorelin?
It produces a much longer-lasting rise in GH-releasing signal, so total exposure is higher — but “stronger” is not automatically better. A short pulse like sermorelin’s is closer to the body’s own rhythm; a days-long elevation is further from it. Neither is an approved regimen for this use.
Which is better with ipamorelin?
Either can be paired with a GHRP such as ipamorelin, since a GHRH analogue and a GHRP pull different levers. The short-acting pair (sermorelin or Mod GRF plus ipamorelin) aims at a cleaner pulse; the long-acting CJC-1295 DAC aims at steady elevation. None of it is a tested, approved protocol.
